Been busy lately cutting, sanding, weighting, sanding , sanding , sanding and finally painting. I will have quite a  slew of pics up soon. I'll start out with some Cisco flavored goodies. I wish I was better at the picture taking part. The pics never look as good as they do in person. I guess that is not that bad. There are lot of guys out there that take great pics. Then just let you down when you see the baits in person.  That won't be the problem here. My baits definitely look better in person.;)

Couple of 9" "Hustler" drop belly styles. One is foil based and the other is straight up paint. Then I have a "TailDragger". I was too lazy to find my box of white rubber tails for the pic session,so glow it is. You get the idea though. These are all cedar, including the "TailDragger".

O.K. I am off to go sanding...

Redesigned "Heckler" topwater

New "Heckler"

I posted these on another website a few days ago. This is the "New" Heckler topwater shape. Slightly updated from years past, a little longer length (9.25") and a little wider (1.5"). I used to always put 7/0 hooks on my older Hecklers even though I originally designed it with 5/0 hooks. They worked out great, but I wanted to redesign the shape with the 7/0 hooks in mind.

This bait is "painted" usiung individual gold leaf scales. Pretty intensive. I wish trhe pics would show the gold better. It was really hard to get a good photo. You get  idea the though.

I am excited to get my blog started. I feel that this format will be the best fit for me. I am a very fluid bait builder . I am always changing styles, colors, components ,etc.

My website was always obsolete within days of putting it up. Hopefully this will keep anyone that is interested in my baits up to speed. I plan to add pics of friends baits as well. I am very fortunate to have some pretty amazing bait builders friends. This will be my chance to showcase them as well.

Ill start out with some pretty standard stuff. This first set is a pair of "Hustler RT's" . They have a foil base that is hard to see in the pics. The tails are replacable. Still the only Gliders that I know of that have a rubber "fish tail" . They are 9" long and1" thick. They look amazing in the water and this style has put some big fish in the boat for me and many others.
